Overview LASTI LASOL LACYL LAKTA Laboratory air separator LASTI The LASTI is used in laboratories for air separation by specific gravity into 3 gradings, e.g. cleaned material and 2 gradings of rejects. The air separator type LASTI is a solid construction, the separating unit being of wood with the front made of transparent plastic. The unit is installed on a steel table with table top of plastic lamination. Under the table there is a centrifugal fan with blow-off through a filter. The vibration feeder is of electro-magnetic type. Function The raw material (1) is dosed by a vibration feeder (2) into the air separating chamber (3), in the upper part of which there is a slight suction, whereas the proper separation takes place in the lower part of the chamber. The coarse light impurities first sucked-off settle on the bottom of aspiration chamber (4), whereas the remaining impurities precipitate in aspiration chamber (5). The cleaned material proceeds, leaving separating chamber (3) to be collected below in collecting box (6). Cleaning operations ended, aspiration chambers (4) and (5) are emptied, their contents being collected in collecting boxes (7) and (8).
